Best Buy surges today

Best Buy continues to disrupt the online disruptors Best Buy announce earnings today and beat earnings per share and as a result the stock surged 9.98% in one day leading the S&P 500 today.

Best Buy along with Walmart and Target are on a mission to take on the online disruptor Amazon and to maintain their stronghold as retail Giants in their respective consumer discretionary areas.

Buy is known as a electronics retail Giant and has successfully fended off competition from Amazon for some time even while some of his large competitors and stablemates like Circuit City has since closed down because of competition from Amazon.

Best Buy Best Buy has invested a lot into their online presence and is both a leader in consumer electronics online and in the physical storefront world.

The stock pays a dividend of $0.50 per share and they have a track record of increasing dividends over the last 7 yrs. The growth rate on the stock is 119% over the last 5 years.

This is a company I plan to hold for some time to come.

Square is set to break out

Back in October of 2019 I did a YouTube video review of Square the stock. In this review I spoke about the possibility of growth with Square and one of the main factors was the fact that Square owns Cash App.

Square has gone up 11% since then. My theory then was that the Cash App segment of square has been resonating with young millennials meaning Millennials 25 and under.

I was once at a party and we were all talking about leaving to go to another party.

I overheard a group of kids saying they wanted to go to that party as well and within two minutes they all came together and crowdfunded an Uber to the next party.

Everyone started Cash Apping money to one particular person and then that person ordered the Uber.

When this happened in front of my eyes I thought to myself wow this app has some serious social power. This is clearly something that is engrained within this younger generation.

People who are my age 30's are just warming up to Zelle and most of us are still very skeptical about online money transfer services between bank accounts.

Well Cash app is just that and more. In addition to having people transfer money between each other using the cash up service at the time I did the video they came out with an announcement that they meaning Square the parent company of Cash App was going to allow its users  to start purchasing stocks specifically fractional shares.

And I thought this was a brilliant idea. For the simple fact that Cash app has a large user base amongst younger people meaning people under 25, college kids who don't have a lot of money to purchase full shares but with the fire movement going on most kids are now aware that you can achieve Financial Independence and retire early by being more frugal and investing a great portion of your earnings. That is also a goal for a lot of these kids.

Squares CEO Jack Dorsey who is also the CEO of Twitter obviously has its ear to the ground and spotted this trend.

He has now given this same group of millennials the ability to not only transfer funds and make purchases with Cash App but also to start investing in their future during a time when investing is becoming very easy for almost anyone with a smartphone and access to apps like Robinhood and Stash.

Well at the time off my article I purchase Square for $61.97 I am now up roughly 11% and stock price today is $68.94 at market close.

Wall Street analyst Dan Dolev has been bullish on Square for some time and today based on  information on Google Trends as well as a guidance from Square, he has raised the price Target to $105 per share.

This is something I would have to agree with as I think the potential for growth has only scratched the surface baring in mind that their stock trading service was only announced in October of 2019 and still has a lot of room to grow.

Let me know what you think of Square's stock in the comment section below let's talk.

What's up guys so in mergers and Acquisitions today eBay has announced that they are selling StubHub for $4 billion dollars to Swedish Ticket company Viagogo.

What is interesting about the story is that the current CEO of Viagogo Eric Baket is also one of the co-founders of StubHub.

He left the company but still had shares when it was sold to eBay for roughly about $310 million.

Fast forward to today and now StubHub is being sold to Viagogo for 4 billion cash.

China Moves to go after Intellectual Property rights infringement

Today China announced it will raise penalties on violations of intellectual property rights and they are exploring lower thresholds of criminal punishments for those who steal IP.

Part of the part of the issue with the USA and dealing with intellectual property in China is that a lot of our products that we consume here our discretionary products are made in China.

Which makes it very easy for Chinese Bootleggers / Pirates to copy the original product and make it sometimes a third of the price of the actual product. This has been going on for years with products like cell phones, clothes, shoes and more.

The fact that China is taking steps to go after infringers of intellectual property rights it's a good thing for the US economy. It's a good thing for the consumer in terms of quality and it's definitely a good thing for US companies who do business in China.

As a result of this news Futures are up today.

Merger loading: TD Ameritrade and Charles Schwab

Ameritrade stockholders will receive 1.0837 Schwab shares for every share held.

146,0000 + orders for the Tesla CyberTruck

People are feeling the Tesla CyberTruck.💪

Put your handyman skills to work

What's up guys just wanted to point this out to you real quickly but if you're looking for a way to make extra income and you're good with your hands you may want to check out a service call taskrabbit.

What taskrabbit does it's pretty much a service that connects people who are you know good with their hands like a handyman with people or homeowners looking for services around the house odd jobs etc.

You can do task like mounting and installing stuff ,moving and packing and assembling Furniture.

Apparently this is a huge Market because they have a lot of people using the service and if you have that skill like my cousin is good with his hands ( I suck at stuff like that you I'm good with computers ).

However if you're good with your hands this is a service that you probably should look into and it's a way you can make some extra money so check it out it's called taskrabbit.

Stash out here being disrespectful

So stash alerted me like your "bank account is only $16.20 show your bank account some love " and this popped up on my phone and I'm like whaaaaaattt ?? that's funny 😂

OK stash I get it I need to add more money to this card I get it.

New Video is up on the Channel

In this episode I take a look at the Tesla CyberTruck which was unveiled last night. I go into some key specs and how it affects pick up truck staples like the Ford F150.

I talk about what went wrong at the launch of the Tesla CyberTruck and how it affected the stock. I also discuss what the cybertruck means for the future of Tesla.

Tesla Reveals the CyberTruck with a slight glitch

What's up guys so last night Tesla release their cyber truck and man that thing looks crazy.Crazy good !

It kind of looks like something that you would see out of the Mad Max movie. A Futuristic type pickup truck that is sure to turn heads Wherever You Go With.It so let's go ahead and get into some of the specs.

So one of the first things I wanted to mention is the fact that the truck has a 100 cubic foot bed almost double the storage of the Ford F150  that's huge.
The bed can also be locked and when closed discover is strong enough so that you can stand on it.

It also has storage space in the form of an under bed Frunk, the sail pillars as well as storage underneath the second row of seats. Which I may also take the time to note here that the truck seats 6 people.

The towing capacity of the truck is 14,000 lbs which is actually 75% more than the towing capacity of the Ford F-150 ( the number one selling truck in the world ) which has a max towing capacity of 8000 lbs.

Other amenities include a 17-inch touchscreen that's fully customizable.

An on board power supply so you can plug-in your equipment if you're in construction you know saws drills that type of stuff as well as an onboard air compressor. Feature that will certainly appeal to  the Working Man.

The truck is also equipped with a adaptable air suspension and the door bed actually can slide down to the floor and extend as a ramp so that you can transport items like an ATV or  a dirt bike by just riding the ATV all the way up the ramp into the bed of the truck and closing the back door.

So that's the good news now for the questionable stuff.

During the demonstration video last night of the Cyber truck by Elon Musk Tesla's CEO. He touted that the Cyber truck has bulletproof and shatterproof glass he also stated that the panels on the truck were made from a special type of reinforced steel which would be used in their SpaceX crafts.

At which point  he had a assistant hit the side of the truck with a sledgehammer and it did not seem to do any damage.
Next he proceeded to have the assistant  throw a steel ball at the glass to prove it was shatterproof and well... it shattered.

The ball did not go through the glass so I did not penetrate, but it did act like a normal bullet proof glass would. It shattered as it absorbed the impact. Musk look shocked.

This did not translate well with the media and news reports suggest this is a huge concern for consumers and investors alike. As a result, today Tesla stock is down 6%

Weed Stocks surge today amid optimism

Today the stock market is sliding like crazy almost every stock in my portfolio is in the red. However there are 2 ETFs which I follow and both of them are up today:

YOLO
POTX

Both are Marijuana  ETF's. Are you invested in weed stocks ?

I personally won't invest in marijuana stocks right now.

I think the legality is still fuzzy, the legal demand is overblown and the companies offering experimental drugs based on marijuana are not proven.

However I'm still watching these two ETFs because I am interested in the market as I think there is potential for growth there.

For me when big tobacco and big Pharma decides to jump into the marijuana business on a large scale is probably when I will start buying  the stocks too.

Get Stock Back with Stash Debit Card

So if you don't know Stash has a debit card that offers stock back whenever you make purchases with the debit card.
The way this works is when you sign up for stash you have the option to get a debit card.
Once you sign up for that debit card and you transfer money from your bank account to debit card any purchases that you make at a major retailer that's inside the stash stocks system you receive cash back.
So if you were to purchase some McDonald's for breakfast like I did today you will receive stock back in that company. Which is a small percentage of the McDonalds stock price in the form of a fractional share.
The funds will typically show up in your account within 24 hours you will see the fractional share of MCD (McDonalds) and it will be added to your portfolio in Stash.
The most I've received back so far was a purchase I made for a toner cartridge from Amazon for $33 and I pretty much received $1.01 in Amazon shares.
Percentage of stock backs that you receive varies from company to company so the Amazon might offer maybe 3% Stock back but then you may make a purchase at CVS and realize that CVS offers 5% cash back so it varies.
The other thing I wanted to point out is if you made a purchase at a local store. In New York we have bodegas if you make a purchase at a corner store with your Stash debit card obviously the corner store does not have stocks and it's not a publicly traded company. So there is no stock to get back.
What you could do in Stash for those local purchases you can set an ETF that you would like to receive  fractional Shares of whenever you make local purchases.
If you don't have Stash and you're interested in signing up. I've included a link in this blog post to do so. When you sign up with this link you will receive $25 to start investing.
All right that's it guys so let me know what you think about Stash stock back in the comment section below. Thanks for reading this post and yall have a bless day !😎

Recession proof Gold Investing ?

Who else is making their portfolio a little recession-proof with some gold ?

If you're looking to invest in goal this ETF is worth a look. The ETF ticker is IAU and it is offered by iShares. iShares is a series of ETFs that are ran by BlackRock which is one of the world's largest Asset Management Companies with over 6 Trillion assets under management.

This is not a traditional ETF and you are investing in gold bars held in vaults all over the world.

Once the price of gold goes up the price of your investment will also increase value and vice versa. You are pretty much investing in a commodity and in this case that commodity is gold.

Gold has always held its value in times of recession and some people see this as a necessary part of diversification in their portfolios.

Year-to-date this ETF is up 19% And Over The Last 5 Years it is up 22%.

So when you look at the growth chart over a 1-year period it is up 19%  and then you look at it over the last five years over the last five years this ETF has only grown 22%.

Over the last year it has grown 19% which is a huge growth spurt when you compare it to the 5 year period. And I believe the reason for that is there is this a looming fear that there is an impending recession coming and such more people are buying up gold.

Because we have been on a bull run for more than 10 years. Typically the market tends to have a recession around every 10 years and as you can see from the growth over the last year the stock has pretty much grown as fast as it has grown over 5 years within a 1-year period.

Anyways these are just my thoughts I am invested in this ETF and for diversification reasons as well as for some insulation from any kind of recession madness.

let me know what you think of this investment in the comment section below

Get exposure to all the Dividend Aristocrat Stocks with this ETF

This ETF gives you exposure to all the dividend aristocrats.

A dividend Aristocrat is a company that pays a dividend and increases that dividend for 25 years or more.

As of 2019 they are 57 companies that are classified as dividend aristocrats.  This ETF has all 57 companies listed in it. The ETF ticker is NOBL and it has performed very well over the last five years returning 50% on Equity invested in addition to paying a dividend.

If you are looking for a way to invest in all the major dividend Aristocrat stocks this is an ETF that is highly recommended.

As of this writing the price is about $74 per share and it pays dividend of $0.36 per share paid quarterly.

Even though I own a lot of dividend Aristocrat stocks I don't own all 57 stocks. However I still want the exposure to all those dividend Aristocrat stocks which is why I decided to purchase this ETF.

This ETF is perfect for new investors as well who are looking for steady gains and consistent dividends that increased year after year.

From the picture above you can see the names and pictures of all 57 companies listed in this ETF.

Please let me know what you think of this ETF in the comment section below thank you so much for reading this blog post.

Disney + has little effect on Netflix

So when Disney announced that they were coming out with the Disney plus service and it would include Disney movies as well as Marvel movies a lot of people were saying that it's over  for Netflix.

Disney plus will wipe out Netflix. Its going to be cheaper and they're going to have all the Marvel movies and all the Disney movies but that's exactly it that's all they have they don't have anything else.

I always stated that Netflix would hold its own,as far as streaming Netflix is the Giant.

They has successfully fended off Hulu a media collective of sorts with free content and paid content. Netflix offers nothing free.

They also have successfully fended off Amazon which is a much larger company in terms of capital than Disney. If they could keep Amazon at Bay why do you think Disney would be a threat ? Disney does not have that much movies to offer.

A bigger threat I feel will come from AT&T when they introduce the HBO Max streaming service. Which will include HBO movies but in addition to that Warner Brothers movies because AT&T owns Warner media.

You know Warner Brothers right ? that's the big WB logo you see at the beginning of almost every movie and for that factor alone I feel HBO MAX will be a bigger threat. However  I also think that Netflix will be able to weather that storm as well because of brand awareness, market share and the fact that they are aggressively funding new original content.

9 REIT's to keep you fully diversified

Okay so let's take a look today at owning a piece of the real estate pie through owning REIT's.

Real Estate Investment Trust or REITs is a way for you to invest in real estate without actually owning property. You have a share or a portion of the business and you don't have to worry about tenants plus if you pick some good ones or own different types you can get a good return on your money.

Today we are going to look at REITs with 8 different types of specialities.

1.) Commercial retail space
2.) Industrial space
3.) Multi Family Homes
4.) Malls
5.) Airports
6.) Farm Lands
7.) Renewable Energy
8.) Health care

Because of the tax laws REITS have a high payout ratio which means that they pay out a lot of their profits to actual shareholders. A lot of the profits are paid out in the form of dividends.  You received the dividends on a monthly basis from some REITS like Reality Income(O) and some you receive it on a quarterly basis. Some dont pay a dividend and the returns come in the form of your equity invested in the stock.

In commercial real estate we have Reality Income (O). They have top-tier tenants like Walgreens, Walmart as well as popular health clubs like LA Fitness. They pay a monthly dividend and the stock has a five-year growth about 70 %. Reality income offers a net lease which means that their tenants are responsible for any repairs or additional cost to the property in addition to the rent that they pay.

The next REIT is in the industrial sector which is STAG Industrial (STAG). Stag owns Distribution warehouses throughout the entire United States. They pay a monthly dividend and the stock has a five-year growth off 31%.

Next we have Arbor Realty Trust the ticker is ABR. Arbor Realty Trust  specializes in mortgages on multi-family homes. The stock pays a 9% dividend and it has grown 119% over the last 5 years.

Next up we have malls and in this category we have 2  REIT'S Simon properties (SPG) and Macerich (MAC). Both pay dividends of 4% and 6% respectively. They both own large malls all over the united states and both REIT'S are down 13% and 57% over the last 5 years.

Airports is the next sector and the company is Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico ( PAC ). They operate Airports in Mexico and Jamaica. The stock does not pay a dividend but it is up 70% over the last 5 years.

Farm Lands is next sector and we have Farmland Partners inc, they specialize in owning and leasing farmland for crops. The stock is down 35% over the last five years but they pay a hefty dividend of 7%.

Next is renewable energy sector and the company we are looking at is Brookfield Renewable Partners (BEP).  The company provides renewable energy from sources like hydroelectricity, solar and windmills. The stock pays a 7% dividend and the stock is up 48% over the last five years.

And the last company is in the healthcare segment and this is Ventas the ticker is VTR and they offer Healthcare facilities for rent. They pay a dividend of 5% and the stock is down 1% over the last five years.

Okay so there you have it real estate investment trust (REIT'S)  that you can invest in, that for the most part pay a dividend and the stock has a decent growth over the five-year period. These are diversified over 8 different segments. Let me know what you think in the comment section below or if there are any other great REIT'S that I missed please leave it in the comments below.

Airbus Says it has not profited from the Boeing 737 Max crisis

Airbus has said recently that it has not profited from the grounding of the Boeing 737 Max planes however this weekend there was the Dubai airshow and guess what Boeing didn't get as much orders as Airbus. Airbus actually got 30 billion dollars worth of orders.
Boeing management are speculating that they will get the 737 Max back in the air by December of 2019, that is still to be see.  Right now the competition has pretty much been eliminated and Airbus is still reaping the benefits of of Boeing's mishaps in the commercial airspace sector.
About a week ago I did a review on Airbus on My YouTube channel, after they reported their third-quarter results in September 2019. One of the things that stood out in that report was that on the books Airbus has 7000 + orders for commercial aircrafts. Pretty much they have a backlog and they have sufficient orders to sustain business for a very long time. Receiving 30 billion dollars worth of orders this weekend from the Dubai Airshow only serves to cement their role as a key player in the commercial aircraft business and like or not it also helps that Boeing is having issues with their 737 Max.
This is not a simple issue for Boeing they didn't have a technical issue where a few people got hurt they had two plane crashes within a 5 month period. Were all the passengers died on both of their 737 Max planes that is going to create skepticism, that is going to create doubt but more than anything else that is going to create fear and fear sells and in this instance the benefactor is Airbus.
Over the last year Airbus (EADSY) stock is up 42%
